Tenpin Bowling Australia Ltd and AMF Bowling are thrilled to announce that the 2011 AMF Australian Masters is to be one of only 8 events to form part of the new and exciting World Bowling Tour for 2011. This follows on from the success of the 2010 AMF Australian Masters last October at AMF Bowling Rooty Hill RSL in Sydney.
This year there is a prize pool of over $100,000 and athletes from around the globe are heading down under to take part in this prestigious event!
What are the Aussies doing in preparation for the AMF Australian Masters to take on the International Players?
Carol Gianotti - "To prepare for the Masters I will aim to lose a bit of weight and have a lot more lane time for practice"
George Frilingos - "50 games a week from here on in to ensure my timing is spot on. Practising perfection is essential in performing at the highest level"
Sam Cooley - "As defending champion I will be preparing mentally as well as getting as much time on the lanes as I can with my coach to tweak some minor problems, but I'm confident that I will perform well again in the tournament."
Glen Loader - "To prepare for the Masters I will be cycling for fitness and spending a lot more time on the practice lanes"
Jason Belmonte - "the Australian Masters is the biggest event in Asia. I'll be sure that I'm both mentally and physically ready. I want to win this because there is no better feeling than winning while my feet are on Australian soil."
Goodluck to the team!
