How to maximise the success of your fundraising event

If you're looking to raise funds with a technique that's a little more out-of-ordinary than recruiting the kids to sell chocolates door to door, hosting a fundraising party at the bowling alley could be the perfect option for you.

Whether you're a school group, charity, sporting group or corporate company, a bowling fundraiser is a great way to raise funds with the added bonus of having a whole lot of fun while you're at it!

However, even if you have the perfect venue lined up, there are more ways to maximise the success of your event - why not try these?

Spread the word and generate excitementRaffle Tickets

There's no point hosting a fundraiser if no one turns up, so make sure you create hype about your event to spread the word and get people excited about the occasion. AMF provides an online portal to collect and manage RSVP's as well as a Sales Executive to aid in promoting your event, but there's no harm in creating a bit of excitement among your guests.

Spread the word via social media platforms, create a mini competition within the workplace complete with small prizes or even a favourite to take out each game. You could even promise a reward to who can guess closest to the total amount you'll raise. We're sure everyone will be shocked at just how much the final figure will be. Don't forget to tell your family and friends, too!

Create a raffle

Although the majority of funds you'll raise will come from the amount of tickets sold, AMF can also provide raffle tickets to maximise your profits. Create a tempting hamper of goodies to ensure you sell as many raffle tickets as possible. Make sure your raffle winnings are suited to those who are attending your event - think yummy food, beauty products or a couple of bowling gift cards.

Have a warm-up game

To get guests even more excited about your event, why not hold a practice run at your local AMF alley? This will give attendees the chance to test out their skills on the lane and perhaps strike up a few friendly rivalries - which can be settled once and for all at the actual fundraiser!

Say 'thank you'Thankyou2

When your event has gone off without a hitch and it's nearing the time to wrap it all up, it's important to take the time to thank those who attended. At the very least say some kind words, but if you want to really make an impression you could send a handwritten note, a bunch of flowers or even a token email out to express your gratitude - that way, they'll be far more likely to attend your next fundraiser at the bowling alley.

Follow these basic steps and your fundraising event at your local AMF Bowling Alley will be an event to remember!
